THE Zimbabwe Aids Prevention and Support Organisation requires over US$200 000 to complete its educational programme on the prevention of HIV and Aids pandemic among the Small to Medium Enterprises. Zapso acting director Mr Thomas Kazonda said the organisation needed the money for its project which started in 2011 and was expected to end next year. The project is running under the theme “Hear our voice” and is targeting 150 SMEs. The project was also aimed at improving the quality of life for people living positively and those affected by the pandemic. Mr Kazonda said they received US$58 000 from Comic Relief for the project. “So far we have been given over US$58 000 for the project from our funders, that is the Comic Relief and we have managed to cover SMEs companies at Bindura, Mutare and Bulawayo among others,” he said during the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between Zapso and The Ministry of SMEs and Co-operative Development in Harare yesterday.
