adminHe told people who had gathered at a field day organised by the Pig Industry Board at Brigadier-General Evaristo Dzihwema’s farm in Norton that farmers must support Government’s land reform and economic empowerment policies through increased farm production.
“Indigenisation and the land reform policy were established so that we can attain zero tolerance to hunger and in return help feed the nation,” said Chief Zvimba (Stanley Mhondoro).
“As farmers we need to complement Government efforts to alleviate hunger and poverty.
“We have the necessary tools to produce our own food. Let us unite and safeguard our independence through effective land utilisation.”
He hailed President Mugabe for championing the land reform programme which has brought dignity and improved livelihoods for the majority of black people.
“Ivhu inhaka yevana veZimbabwe. Let’s safeguard our national heritage by rallying behind President Mugabe and voting for him in the coming elections,” Chief Zvimba said.
