Chitungwiza municipality has urged all informal traders affected during the on-going blitz to clean up the mess on road servitudes to use its under-utilised vending sites which can accommodate close to 6 000 traders.
In a statement today, the local authority advised all registered Small to Medium Enterprises (SMSEs) traders to visit their respective district offices (St Mary’s, Zengeza, Seke North and Seke South) for allocation of trading spaces.
“Council has 26 designated sites with an estimated carrying capacity of 5 741 in all the districts ready for occupation and we are advising traders to take the opportunity.
“In addition, those who may have been affected by the ongoing clean-up operation are also encouraged to visit their respective districts for registration at a fee determined by council,” said the acting town clerk Mrs Evangelista Machona.
