Vandalism lands 7 in the dock

Seven people, including two Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) workers, were arrested in Karoi at Nyamahombe farm for vandalising an 11kV line and harvesting the aluminium conductor.

The accused appeared in court on Wednesday and were remanded in custody to July 7, 2020 for bail application by regional magistrate, Solomon Jenya.

According to court papers, the seven, who include two ZETDC employees based at Karoi depot and a serving police assistant inspector at Karoi Urban, vandalised the line in broad daylight.
