in the Top Model of the World arrived from Germany on Tuesday.
Vanessa was crowned second runner-up for the contest and walked away with a modelling contract from the World Beauty Organisation, cash and jewellery worth US$8 000.
After being appointed Top Model of the World Zimbabwe last month by Washington Ali and Hildah Mulenga, who are the current licence holders of the pageant, Vanessa automatically had a chance to represent Zimbabwe in the world class show.
The event which was held in Usedom, a Baltic Sea island on the border between Poland and Germany saw Sibanda contesting against stunning top models from 50 countries in the World.
In an exclusive interview with The Herald, Sibanda said she was grateful to God for all that she has achieved.
“It is really amazing and above all I am grateful to God,” she said.
Welcoming her at the Harare Interna-tional Airport, were reigning Miss Zimba-bwe Malaika Mashandu, Miss Universe Lisa Morgan and Miss Tourism Rumbidzai Mudzengerere.
Vanessa was really thrilled by the crowd that was waiting for her.
“I feel awesome. It is nice to be home finally after being away for quite a while,” Vanessa said.
The Zimbabwean pride proclaimed that she loves her country.
“I love my country and I am not ashamed but proud to be a Zimbabwean.”
