Entertainment Reporter

MBIRA player, Vee Mhofu, believes he still has plenty to learn despite winning the hearts of many music fans.

Vee Mhofu, who is backed by Dziva ReMbira outfit, plays at Mushandirapamwe Hotel in Highfield on Sundays.

A number of people come for his snuff (bute) while others come for his music.

“I am really humbled how I still manage to fill Mushandirapamwe, a famed home of entertainment, on Sundays.

“I have realised that people love their culture no matter how the western culture may try to impact us.

“It’s an honour when people shower me with praises but I am still willing to learn.”

He added:

“I will continue giving them new stuff regularly and I would like to be a cultural ambassador.

“I will also collaborate with others.”

Earlier this year, he won the hearts of many when he performed at Mbuya Stella Chiweshe’s burial in Masembura.
