VICTORIA Falls, is on the verge of becoming a regional sports tourism destination with a foreign investor reportedly in talks with Government for the construction of a grand prix stadium in the resort town.
Famous for the adrenalin rush activities, Victoria Falls, home to the seventh natural wonder of the world will see motor racing action coming to the resort town in the near future.
Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Prisca Mupfumira reportedly stressed Government commitment to transform Victoria Falls into a regional tourism hub and announced that an investor has expressed interests in bring motorsport to Zimbabwe.
a�?We are also eager to develop sports tourism here in Victoria Falls. There is a serious proposal for a grand prix facility. We are confident that grand prix will be coming to Zimbabwe,a�? said Mupfumira.
