VICE President Kembo Mohadi has called on private sector exhibitors at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) 2026 to transform their approach, viewing the platform as a strategic business development opportunity rather than a mere promotional event.

Addressing the media soon after touring exhibition stands on Wednesday, VP Mohadi emphasised the need for clear objectives and proactive engagement.

“Exhibiting at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) 2026 presents a valuable opportunity for private sector players to strengthen market presence, build strategic partnerships, and generate new business,” VP Mohadi said.

He urged exhibitors to align participation with measurable goals such as market expansion, partnership development, or product introduction.

He also recommended designing interactive stands featuring demonstrations and live showcases, noting that experiential elements far outperform static displays.

“Exhibitors should also take advantage of ZITF’s networking potential by proactively engaging with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and regional partners,” he said.

He said strategic alliances could unlock new markets, particularly under frameworks like the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

“By adopting a strategic, well-coordinated approach, private sector exhibitors can maximise the value derived from participation in ZITF 2026 and position themselves for sustained growth,” he said.
