VICTORIA Falls-based musical crew Top Kings has launched a talent search programme targeted at aspiring artists and high school students.

Top Kings are identical twins, Nkosenhle and Nkosilathi Ncube who are musicians, songwriters and actors, born in 2000.

“We have launched a talent search programme which we will spread across the town and secondary schools. The talent search began at the beginning of the month and it will end on 30 July. Our goal is to help aspiring artists with an opportunity to flourish in the industry without facing challenges like paying exorbitant recording fees,” he said.

Nkosenhle said their goal was to ensure that their project reaches high school students.

“In this talent search, we are also targeting secondary schools and this is because there are a number of pupils who are talented and need to be given a platform to thrive,” he said.

He urged female artists to participate in the talent search to ensure that they get exposure.

“We believe in equal opportunities and urge women to come in numbers to participate in these programmes as they will go a long way in helping them in their musical journey,” he said.

Nkosenhle said they were looking forward to helping a number of artists in the area.

“We are looking forward to having about 40 artists from the secondary schools in the area and there are recording sessions and collaborations in store for the winners. Our aim is in showcasing the hidden and suppressed talent in Victoria Falls and surrounding areas,” he said.
