The first African presenter on Asia television, Kajese revealed that she attended the 23rd World Economic Forum in three capacities.
“I participated as a young global leader, panel moderator and was also working as a broadcaster for Arise TV. Arise TV is a counter balance to Al Jazeera, CNN, and BBC. This is an African alternative from an African perspective started in Nigeria,” she said.
The former China Central Television’’s CCTV-9 presenter revealed this in an interview with the Star FM Breakfast Club on Wednesday morning
“The World Economic Forum took place from the 8th to the 10th of May. I attended together with the President of Malawi Joyce Band, with me being the young global leader representing Zimbabwe. I invited Joyce Banda and she came well prepared. She sat on the panel and delivered some awesome remarks.
“She was excellent,” said Vimbai.
The World Economic Forum in Africa is aimed at delivering on Africa’s promise as Africa continues its transformation into a hub of global and economic growth.
The 23rd World Economic Forum serves as a positive outlook in addressing the challenges that the continent is facing, from fluctuating commodity crisis to rising inequality in youth unemployment.
The forum was addressing avenues African leaders need to explore in order to strengthen national and regional competitiveness in order to foster inclusive growth and build resilience to a volatile environment
“The panel addressed three topics: How Africa’s economy can be diversified, strategies in which Africa’s infrastructure can bring diversification of economies and unlocking Africa’s talent across the social and economic spectrum and including the youth
Kajese added that the World Economic Forum is not a talk shop but is the team on the ground putting words into action by creating initiatives that get implemented to maximise human potential.
The Arise TV personality as been invited to the African Union meeting in Addis Ababa where she will be taking part in intergenerational discussions with heads of states where she will be advocating the importance of in co-operating the youths and highlighting their importance.
