In an interesting twist to the Big Brother Africa (BBA) Hotshots reality show, previous housemates were yesterday sent into the House to compete with the remaining 12 housemates.Among the Housemates are BBA 2011 Zimbabwe representative, Vimbai Mutinhiri, former BBA winner, Uti Nwachukwu (Nigeria), Pokello Nare’s boyfriend, Elikem Kumordzie and Zambia’s Sulu.
This twist sent shivers down many housemates’ spines as they were told they had all been put up for possible eviction from the House this week. But the coming in of the old housemates is just a prank from Big Brother as they are not eligible for the $300,000 prize money and will actually be leaving the House on Sunday. They will be in the House to confuse Hotshots who believe they have to compete with them in order to stay in the game.
According to Big Brother’s prank, each current Hotshots housemate will have to compete against an ex-housemate from their country in order to stay in the game. At the end of this week, the audience will decide whether to keep the Hotshots housemate or to swop them with an ex-housemate from their country. Unbeknown to the Hotshots, there will be no eviction this week.
Mutinhiri, who will be competing with JJ and Butterphly, said she was excited about going back into the House.
“I like exploring my creative side so such opportunities are always a bonus for me. I am looking forward to the experience,” she said.
