Vincent off to US

golf scholarship.
Vincent yesterday took part in the Open Classic and did himself a favour by matching most of the professional golfers. The former St John’s college student won a golf scholarship with the college that has been home to several Zimbabweans like Brendon de Jonge and Bruce McDonald who are doing well in the US PGA after turning professional.

The golfer is confident that he will do well both academically and in the sport.
“I think I will quickly adjust to the changes and focus on the sport and my academics. This is something I was hoping for a long time and it is now a dream come true.

“I am happy for my self and I want to tell all the other golfers who are doing well locally that your chance will always come and you need to keep on working hard,” Vincent said.
Meanwhile, the Sports Commission will this morning hold their chairman’s annual golf day at Royal Harare.
The tournament is aimed at raising funds for several charitable organisations.
