Vineyard’s Decavine policy in demand

Business Reporter
Vineyard Funeral Assurance has experienced an increase in the uptake of its Decavine funeral policy which covers ten people under one policy.
The company’s managing director Mr Solomon Chikanda said the performance of the Decavine policy has been encouraging. He said the product allows contributors to cover their extended families on one policy.

Vineyard has since increased its fleet in line with the new policy.

“Taking cognisance of the increased demand on the Decavine plan, we have seen it prudent to be proactive and we have boosted our fleet.

“We now boast of a huge state-of-the-art fleet to enable us to fulfil our promises and commitments to our clients because we do not want to be found wanting when it comes to claims settling,” Mr Chikanda said.

He said they have new buses that would be provided as complementary under the Decavine product.

He said the product was in demand due to its inclusivity as it does not discriminate and one can add any dependant regardless of relationship status.

Vineyard Funeral Assurance has also scored a first by becoming the only company to have stocked caskets which are linked to contributors’ totems.

Mr Chikanda said the unique custom-made caskets are selling fast.

“We carried out a survey of the products on the market and learnt that a growing number of clients attach a sentimental value and logic to products that they consume.
“However, clients say they found out that many products on the market, caskets in particular were doing very little in terms of taping into the power of consumers’ emotions as they were dry and detached,” said Mr Chikanda.

“It was with this in mind that we tailor made specific caskets that are in line with people’s totems and feature top class finishing relating to a particular animal that denote a particular  totem.”

Mr Chikanda said the totem imbeded coffins are hugely popular as the company continues to build a brand that appeal directly to consumers’ emotional state, needs and aspirations.
