Virtual clinic opens

Wilsons Healthcare has introduced a virtual clinic that works with the latest equipment and highly-trained staff.
“Our nurses look after patients who have minor injuries and illnesses leaving our doctors with the more complex cases. Our consultation including treatment starts from US$40. Registration is free until 1 January 2012. Ours is a social clinic. Patients do not come to us but we visit them in the comfort of their homes,” said Mr Masimba Nyabunze an executive sales agent of the company.
He said Wilsons also monitors and motivates regular diet plans, monitors clients’ safety, comfort and welfare by contacting them by phone or by making home visits.
Mr Nyabunze said Wilsons also assists with grooming needs such as hair care, shaving, cleaning teeth and routine nail care. Supervising or assisting with tub baths, showers, sponge baths, and bed baths.
“We also provide routine skin care such as applying lotion to dry skin, assisting with dressing and undressing, assisting with mobilisation activities including turning, transferring, exercising and walking.”
He said they also have a good healthcare plan for employers who own businesses regardless of its size.
“As a business owner you have responsibilities regarding health and safety in your workplace. Wilsons Occupational Safety and Healthcare (Wosh), is our healthcare plan designed for the corporate. This is a new dimension in the Occupational Safety and Health Care System in Zimbabwe,” he said.
