Visual artist makes impact in SA

SOUTH Africa-based visual artist, Milton Pamuzanda, is making waves in Cape Town where he was conferred with an award by a leading art gallery.

The 26-year-old now has 10 accolades to his name.

“I started doing art when I was in Grade 3 and got the inspiration from Dominic Benhura.

“I am surviving through art and recently I was honoured by Lindy Van Niekerk whom I met on Facebook.

“I did a portrait painting for her in June this year. She owns Lindy Van Niekerk Art Gallery, which is one of the most revered art galleries in Eversdal, Cape Town,” he said.

 

Milton owns Milton Arts which has earned a lot of recognition.

“I am a self-taught artist with over 10 arts awards.

“I have done exhibitions at the National Art Gallery of Zimbabwe and SEITT action from district, provincial and national.

“I have several awards from my former schools as well,” he said. Art contributes to communication through visuals. If you look into the advertising industry, they depend on visual artists, among others.”
