adminLazaraus Chikwewo, who owns VOJ Studios, as it is popularly called, they shut down the stable in 2010 to give it ample time to refocus its thrust.
“We are now back in full business after our 2010 layoff. This was largely due to the need to refocus and restrategise.
“We have, however, started working on new projects by new artistes,” Chikwewo said.
One of the new projects is his latest album titled “Ndaramba Uye Handidi” which is his second offering his debut release “Kuvaka Musipo”.
The album is in a class of its own judging from the way that he arranged his instruments which blend well with his messages.
On the album, Chikwewo touches on a number of issues which include the gospel of prosperity as opposite to the spiritual gospel.
“Nobody goes to heaven with money, and the overall message on this album is that we should love Jesus Christ more than anything else because he is the way to God in heaven,” he said.
The album is receiving fair airplay on local radio stations like National FM and Radio Zimbabwe where it topped the charts for months especially on the programme “Gumi Dzanhasi”.
Born on August 24, 1967 in Harare, Chikwewo said he was inspired by his mother to sing before he decided to form VOJ Studios and later becoming a pastor in the Unity Apostolic Church.
He is married to Tapiwa and the couple has two children.
