FOUR Zimbabwean volleyball coaches will attend an International Volleyball Federation Level Three coaching clinic in Sudan in April. These are Vulindlela Moyo, Thulani Maphosa, Itsanang Abu Basutu and Artwell Gororo. The four coaches are the only Level Two certificate holders in the country.

Veteran coach Moyo said he was happy to get the opportunity to improve on his career.
“I applied to go there and I hope the association will sponsor us because as individuals we cannot afford the trip,” he said.

Moyo is also a gaffer for the senior women’s national team that he led to the Zone Six World Championships Qualifies second round last year.
His counterpart Gororo is the senior men’s coach while Basutu is with Support Unit.

Maphosa is based in Swaziland where he is also assistant national team coach and is in charge of Matsapa. ZVA administrator Sibangani Mashasha said it would be great for Zimbabwe volleyball if their best coaches were to attend the course.

“This will be good for not only the coaches but the nation at large,” said Mashasha.
Meanwhile, Nomvelo Mlothswa and Bekezela Ndlovu will attend the an international referees’ candidate course from March 1 to 10.
