BULAWAYO Volleyball Association (BVA) will be holding a 2020 volleyball pre-season tournament which will be held at Milton High School.
The tournament is scheduled for 21 and 22 March.
Secretary-general of BVA Munyaradzi Chigudu said the tournament was open for everyone and so far, only eight teams had confirmed their participation in the tournament.
“So far I can safely say there are six teams which have confirmed participation and only two others from outside but I know more teams are going to come on board as we progress.
“As an association, we look forward to growing the game of volleyball and we have decided to have three leagues running, that is, the senior league, corporate social league and the junior league where we are targeting school going kids,” said Chigudu.
A technical meeting for the tournament will be held at the venue at 8am on the first day of the event and team managers are required to attend the briefing of the tournament proceedings.
On 14 March, BVA will be holding awards to honour teams, players and coaches who excelled in the 2019 season at an awards ceremony at Luveve High School.
