VICE President Constantino Chiwenga will today officiate at the Anti-Sanctions solidarity march in Harare.
The country declared 25 October, the Anti-Sanctions Day to show the importance of the day to the economic emancipation and well-being of its citizens.
The day was also endorsed by the Southern Africa Development Community (Sadc) and the African Union (AU) in solidarity against sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe by the United States and her Western allies.
In a statement government revealed that Vice President Chiwenga will officiate at the Anti-Sanctions march that is taking place in the capital- Harare.
“The Government of Zimbabwe has organised a march from Munhumutapa offices to Africa Unity Square as part of the Anti- sanctions day commemoration day. Civil Servants in Harare and other provinces will be participating in the march.
“In Harare, Civil Servants and pupils from selected schools will march from Munhumutapa Government Offices, Corner Sam Nujoma and Samora Machael, to Africa Unity Square in Harare. Vice President, Dr CGDN Chiwenga will officiate at the event at Africa Unity Square where he will address the citizens,” reads the statement.
According to the route from Munhumutapa Government Offices, participants will march along Samora Machael Avenue towards Julias Nyerere Way, turn left into Julias Nyerere Way then left into Nelson Mandela Avenue towards the Africa Unit Square.
