VP Mohadi arrives in Mozambique for liberation war shrines tour

Vice President Kembo Mohadi arrived in Mozambique this evening to continue with the assessment of liberation war shrines so that those in bad shape can be rehabilitated.

He arrived at the Maputo International Airport shortly after 6pm.

The VP was received by Mozambique’s Minister of Combatants Nyeleti Mondlane, Mozambique’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe Carvalho Muária, Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to Mozambique Dr Victor Matemadanda and other senior Government officials.

The visit is part of Government’s efforts to document and preserve the legacy of the liberation struggle and honour those that were killed.

Tomorrow, the VP is expected to pay a courtesy call on Mozambican Prime Minister Maria Benvinda Levy in the morning, before departing for Chimoio to start assessing the state of the shrines.
