Mthabisi Tshuma in Nyabane
VICE President Kembo Mohadi is on Friday expected to officially open Nyabane Clinic in Bulilima District, Matabeleland South province.
A high-powered delegation held a preparatory meeting on Tuesday to finalise arrangements for the event.

Attendees included ICT Deputy Minister and Bulilima Constituency legislator Cde Dingumuzi Phuti, Headman Somfula, Bulilima District Development Coordinator Mr Onesimo Zogara, Bulilima RDC CEO Mr Billiat Mulauzi, Bulilima RDC Chairperson Alderman Land Ndebele, JOC members, officials from the Ministry of Health and Child Care, various government departments at district and provincial levels, local community members, and representatives of the Diaspora community.

Throughout the day, workers from the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) were busy installing poles to provide electricity to the clinic, while the District Development Fund (DDF) worked tirelessly to supply water to the facility. Local entertainment acts were also fine-tuning their performances in anticipation of the big day.
Deputy Minister Phuti urged the people of Nyabane and the wider Bulilima community to attend in large numbers and witness this significant milestone.

The construction of Nyabane Clinic resulted from a collaboration between the Nyabane community, Diaspora members, Bulilima RDC, former Bulilima East Constituency legislator Nqobizitha Ndlovu, and the Church of Jesus of the Latter-Day Saints.
Earlier this year, the church contributed US$300,000 towards completing the clinic after other stakeholders had funded the main structure.
The completed facilities include a main building, three cottages, and a mother’s shelter, marking a major development in local healthcare access.
