Vice President Joice Mujuru yesterday distanced herself from various Facebook accounts in her name and bearing her pictures, saying it is the work of mischievous people.
One of the accounts, which was created on December 1 last year, already has 430 likes and conversations taking place between friends and the impostor.

Minister of State in the Office of the Vice President Silvester Nguni, said VP Mujuru did not run any Facebook account, but had a website for her office.

“The VP does not have any Facebook account, if there is anything in her name it is totally the work of mischief,” he said. “Instead, the VP has a Government web page.” The Facebook accounts with pictures of the Vice President run under the names “Joice Mujuru”, “Joyce Mujuru”, “Mai JOICE ‘TEURAIROPA’ MUJURU for Presidency”, and “Joice Mujuru Joice Mujuru”.

Some of the issues currently under discussion on the fake VP Mujuru pages are her recent statements on corruption.
