Wafawafa Track and Field Championships Start

THE Wafawafa Track and Field Championships where the national association is ranking athletes started at White City Stadium on Saturday morning.
National head coach Phakamile Lisimati is impressed with the attendance and quality.

The National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe is using the first national event to rank athletes with a view of using it for consideration for teams for 2026.

Among the top names are marathon record holder Isaac Mpofu, Ngoni Makusha, Daniel Magogo, Denis Hove, Derrick Mathuthu, Thandazani Ndlovu, Polite Moyo, Rutendo Ushe and Tulange Mudenda.
