Walking in victory

Greetings beloved nation in the name of Jesus Christ. 1 John 5:4, “For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.” (Amplified bible).

We have entered into the last month of the year 2021 and we thank God that thus far He has carried us as individuals, as families, as ministries and as a nation and nations of the world.

It has been a difficult and painful year for most of us as we went through times of calamity, loss of loved ones, sickness, loss of jobs and income, different levels of lockdown, gatherings being banned and many other things.

This year has also seen many believers falling, losing faith and turning their back on God. Covid-19 has contributed a lot to the suffering of God’s people. Right now, we are under the threat of a fourth wave of Covid-19 and already some countries are closing their borders.

I would like to encourage you that in spite of what is happening around the world and this threat of a new variant of the coronavirus, let me assure you ladies and gentlemen that we are victorious. God promised us that He would never leave us nor forsake us. We are victorious through Christ Jesus. God is alive and Jesus is risen from the dead and the Lord Jesus is seated at the right hand of God.

Despite what is happening in the world I want to encourage you and I want to emphasise that we are victorious. We have the arsenal to deal with the enemy. We should not be afraid. Paul says that we should not be afraid of what they fear because greater is he that is inside of us that than he who is in the world.

So, church of God I am here to encourage you that despite this threat of coronavirus, there is victory in the blood of Jesus Christ. Ladies and gentlemen as we prepare to end the year and we take a look back, we will discover that most if not all of us had to fight different kinds of battles, and we still continue to fight battles even as the year comes to an end.

There is no victory without a war.

Yes, battles will come but we are victorious and we shall overcome. I don’t care whether the battles come from stellar heavens, from the waters, from the land, from the north, south, east or west, I want to assure you that you shall overcome, you shall be victorious. Why? Because the Bible says the battle belongs to the Lord, the Lord will fight for you. I want to tell you that whatsoever will come your way, it will not touch you. You will overcome it, you will win the battles, you will win the wars. Why? Because God is on your side. I want to encourage you people of God that we have got God in Heaven who created the heavens and the earth, the devil is under our feet. Remember the children of Israel in Egypt, the Bible says they were in Goshen when those plagues were taking place.
The Bible tells us that when there was darkness in Egypt, in Goshen there was light. Why? Because they were victorious, because God was with them. Let me declare this to you; as long as we are still in this world, no matter what is happening in your life, in your family, in your ministry, in the body of Christ, in the world, we are more than conquerors, we are victorious. What you need to do is co-operate with the Lord. You need to be a man or woman of action. You need to follow the instructions of the Holy Ghost, the promptings of the Holy Spirit. You need to live a holy life, to study the word of God, to pray like never before if you want victory to come your way.
The Bible tells us in 1 John 5:4 that, “For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.” I want to tell you that you are born of God and you are victorious and you shall be victorious. This is the victory that conquers the world, because we are born of                                                                                              God and we have the DNA of the Lord Jesus Christ.
So, I want to encourage you to stay connected to God if you want to win battles. Live a holy life if you want to emerge in glory, in greatness and in victory, because these are evil days. Revelation 12:11 says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” These are our forefathers, the people that went ahead of us, the Bible says they overcame him by the blood and the word of their testimony. The book of 1 John 5:8 KJV says, “And there are three that bear witness on earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood; and these three agree in one”.
The Bible tells us that while we are still on earth, the Holy Spirit will help us overcome whatever the traps the enemy has planted. In Ephesians 5 Paul speaks about the water as the word. So, we have the word at our disposal and we need to study the word. For us to be victorious we need to speak the word in the face of the enemy. Then there is the blood. When Jesus went to Heaven, he left the blood for us. Why? Because there is the devil here on earth so when the devil sees the blood of Jesus, he remembers the day when he was chased from Heaven.
The blood reminds the enemy of judgement, it deals with a lot of adversaries and gives us victory. So, as we end the year, it is my prayer that we walk in victory because the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:57, “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” I would like to invite you to receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that he is your Lord and Saviour, and you shall be saved. May God bless you all and this beautiful nation of Zimbabwe. Amen.
