WE will try again next season!
That was the bold message from ambitious side FC Wangu Mazodze after their bid for a Premiership place ended on the final day on Saturday.
The colourful side could only draw 1-1 at Renco Mine on Saturday, where victory would have taken them into the top-flight league.
“We try again next season, important lessons learnt,” said the club on their social media handles.
Tenax have made a quick return to the Premiership after snatching the ZIFA Eastern Region Division One soccer title from under the noses of FC Wangu Mazodze and Bikita Minerals.
Tenax, who were virtually out of reckoning three weeks ago and were in third place before kick-off, romped to a 6-1 victory over JM Busha while their main rivals could only draw.
They gained four points on their title rivals in the final two matches.
