Members of the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans Association living in Sanyati are planning to build a $500 000 complex at Golden Valley Mine.

The war veterans have already secured 2,5 hectares of land for the construction of the structure.

ZNLWVA provincial secretary for projects in Mashonaland West Cde Felix Dube, said drafting of the plan for the complex was already complete.

“One of the objectives for us constructing this complex is driven by our desire to scale up development in Sanyati,” he said.

Cde Dube said the association was also working on raising funds for the project.

“We are, however, appealing to prospective funders of the project to chip in and assist in the construction of the complex,” he said.

Cde Dube also said members of the association were contributing towards the project.

Meanwhile, Cde Dube, who is also the national chairman for the Mvunda Small-Scale Miners Association, urged the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe to increase its loan facility to small-scale miners.
