The Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr Douglas Mombeshora has highlighted the importance of the NatPharm Mutare Pharmaceutical Warehouse that has been commissioned by President Mnangagwa this morning.
The warehouse, located near Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital, is set to improve the distribution of medical supplies across Manicaland, a province home to over 335 health facilities.

Dr Mombeshora emphasised that the warehouse plays a crucial role in strengthening health service delivery by providing a centralised location for storing and distributing medicines and other pharmaceutical commodities.
“Instead of medicines being transported all the way from Harare, distribution will now take place locally from here,” he explained.
The minister also noted that similar warehousing projects are underway in other provinces to bolster the health system nationwide.
The Masvingo warehouse is already operational, while a new facility is being constructed in the Midlands Province to complement the Harare warehouse.

“This infrastructure is vital to supporting and enhancing our healthcare delivery system,” Dr Mombeshora said, underscoring the Government’s commitment to improving access to essential medicines across Zimbabwe.
