warrant of arrest for Mwonzora

for Nyanga North, is accused of defrauding a Masvingo widow, Mrs Elizabeth Mary Adams (55), of her plot in 2005 which was worth Z$350 million. He is being charged along with his client Alfred Muchini. Muchini who was present in court was remanded to June 26 this year. Prosecutor Mr Michael Reza applied for a warrant of arrest after Mwonzora failed to appear in court. He is reportedly in South Africa.  According to the indictment, the Adams family sold their four-and half-hectare plot in Glynham which belonged to their late father Elvin Roy Adams, to Muchini. It is alleged that the money was placed in a trust account pending finalisation of the deal.
Mwonzora allegedly drew up the agreement of sale. A week later Mrs Adams reportedly tried to get her money but the account was overdrawn. In August 2005, Mwonzora, representing Muchini, successfully applied for an eviction order against the Adams from the plot even though she said she had not been paid.
