Warriors qualify for 2025 Afcon

Zimbabwe…………1
Kenya…………………1

Zimbabwe booked their place at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with a game to spare after playing out a 1-1 draw against Kenya at the Peter Mokaba Stadium tonight.

The Warriors were the home team but played in the neighbouring country like what they have done this campaign due to a lack of CAF approved stadium in the country.

It was a match Zimbabwe needed at a least a draw to seal their passage to Morocco next year and they did just that.

Tawanda Maswanhise, making his first start for Zimbabwe opened the scoring after 32 minutes before Jonah Ayunga drew level for the Harambee Stars.

The result means that Kenya, on five points, can no longer eclipse Zimbabwe who are on nine points with a single match before the qualifiers end.

Zimbabwe will now play Cameroon in Yaounde next Tuesday.
