Warriors supporters fail to charter plane

Warriors in their big battle against Cape Verde today.
ZNSSA officials have been working overtime trying to secure funding to charter a plane to Praia. Yesterday ZNSSA vice-president Paddington Japajapa revealed that their efforts had failed to come to fruition.

“We tried our best and discussed the issue of the importance of having our fans in Cape Verde with senior Government officials and a number of companies,” said Japajapa.
“As of today (yesterday), we were so sure that we were going to secure the US$300 000 needed and we could be in the air around midnight for the non-stop flight to Cape Verde.

“Unfortunately, that has not been possible and the Warriors will not have any fans when they play the big game and we feel that it’s a bit disappointing.
“We have picked up some lessons and we hope to do better next time and we also feel we can continue working with the contacts we established for the better of our football.”
