B-Metro Reporter

CHAPUNGU Football Club has been plunged into mourning following the death of head coach Tawanda Marimo, who succumbed to a short illness at Gweru General Hospital.

The popular gaffer, affectionately known within the football fraternity for his tactical mind and firm leadership, breathed his last this week, leaving the entire Waru Waru camp shattered.

“Coach Marimo was more than just a coach. He was a mentor, a motivator, and the backbone of the team,” said Chapungu’s Public Relations Officer Kennedy Khombo in a somber statement.

Tributes have been pouring in from fans, players, and fellow coaches, all describing him as a selfless servant of the game who lived and breathed football.

Funeral and burial arrangements are yet to be announced, but the club has pledged to honour his legacy in a special way.

Rest in power, Coach Marimo. The Waru Waru skies will never be the same.
