Although the event was supposed to feature South Africa’s talented Dumi Mkokstad as the headliner, he was unable to attend reportedly due to delays in obtaining a permit required for foreign artistes to perform in Zimbabwe.

Despite this setback, local artistes such as Zimbabwean-born South Africa-based Takesure Zamar, Vusa Mangena, Snowy, Moses Zivengwa, Mai Mwamuka, Pastor Lorraine, and Pastor Barak delivered exceptional performances, captivating the audience throughout the event.

Event organiser Vusa Mangena expressed his thoughts on the successful event: “The turnout exceeded our expectations, and the performances truly resonated with gospel music enthusiasts. While Dumi Mkokstad couldn’t join the line-up as advertised due to clearance challenges, his efforts to make it to the performance were thwarted at the airport,” he explained. – @mthabisi_mthire
