Afro-fusion and reggae-dancehall artiste Chillmaster has teamed up with South African Lekompo sensation Shandesh for an upcoming single titled Lengwalo.
Last week, Shandesh shared a video and photos on social media showing the duo in the studio, with Shandesh singing along to a beat featuring Chillmaster.
She wrote: “Finally, I am done with my two songs … ready to release. Lengwalo by Shandesh feat ChillMaster. I am doing this because I always see my Zim family commenting on my videos and supporting my music. I love you all.”
Fans are eagerly anticipating the release. Chillmaster, known for hits like Ndiudze Zvese and Kudiwa Chaizvo, continues to rise in Zimbabwe’s music scene. Meanwhile, Shandesh has gained recognition in South Africa since 2018 with her debut Lomolo, achieving gold and platinum certifications for tracks such as Ga Mmapula and Sdudla or Slender.
She is a leading figure in Lekompo music, a genre blending Bolobedu dance, Bolo house, and Amapiano, and has collaborated with prominent artistes including King Monada, Shebeshxt, Kharishma, and Wave Ryde.
This collaboration marks another milestone in promoting Zimbabwean talent across the continent.
