Minister of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture, Lieutenant General (Retired) Anselem Sanyatwe has called on stakeholders in the creative and sports sectors to use the Kuzana SKEEZ conference as a platform for building meaningful collaborations and developing practical solutions that can drive the growth and profitability of the industries.
Speaking at the conference taking place at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre Hall 2, Minister Sanyatwe said talent should be transformed into viable enterprises, while culture should be recognised as an innovative and valuable economic asset.
“I call upon all delegates to treat this conference not as a talk shop, but as a seminar where we strengthen connections and collaborations in order to achieve our vision of making the creative and sports industries profitable, in line with Vision 2030.

“Its time for our creatives to walk the talk, and put ideas into reality, as we work together to making the creative industry profitable and sustainable,” said Minister Sanyatwe.
He said the government is willing to support creatives with viable frameworks and initiatives by providing funding and creating opportunities that would enable them to grow their work.
The Minister said the key priority was ensuring that creatives could effectively monetise their talent and gain access to suitable markets where they could showcase and sell their work.
He urged stakeholders to move beyond discussions and focus on implementing ideas that can have a tangible impact on people working in the creative and sports sectors.
Minister Sanyatwe said the Kuzana SKEEZ conference represented the beginning of a new chapter for creatives, providing a platform for them to engage, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for collaboration.
“Kuzana SKEEZ marks the beginning of a new chapter that opens opportunities for creatives to discuss, explore and implement practical, conclusive ideas from the conference,” he said.
Minister Sanyatwe said the success of the creative and sports industries would depend on stronger partnerships between government, creatives, businesses and other stakeholders, with the ultimate goal of creating sustainable opportunities and turning talent into profitable enterprises.
