A special cocktail reception was organised by ZITF authorities in collaboration with the British Embassy to welcome visitors and stakeholders. The event was highlighted by a captivating live performance by the Djembe Monks, who delivered a sterling set that left the audience delighted.

The Djembe Monks skillfully blended music from across the continent, performing the late Brenda Fassie’s hit “Weekend Special” and various Amapiano tracks, as well as songs by Koffi Olomide. The diverse crowd, which included dignitaries from various economic sectors and hailed from different continents, was visibly enthralled and eager for more from the ensemble.

Djembe Monks is a traditional music group from Zimbabwe known for their tribal house music—a unique mix of traditional drums with electronic, house, and techno Afro-fusion elements.
