Iminyela-bred youthful Hip Hop artiste BobSe7en has died.
The promising artiste, who was regarded as one of the emerging talents on the local Hip Hop scene, died in the early hours of July 1 at Mpilo Central Hospital following a short illness.
His sister, Talent Dube, confirmed his passing.
“I can confirm that my younger brother is no more. He died in the early hours of today at Mpilo Hospital after a short illness. It all started with a toothache before he later developed a boil in his throat, which we believe caused breathing difficulties. We will share more information regarding the burial arrangements in due course,” said Dube.
Kwela Initiative founder Asaph Afrika also paid tribute to the late artiste, describing him as one of the brightest young talents he encountered this year after hosting him on his Skyz Metro FM programme, 16 Bars.
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Iminyela artiste BobSe7en. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends and everyone whose life he touched.
“We had the privilege of getting to know BobSe7en through his outstanding appearances on 16 Bars, where he shared his talent and passion for Hip Hop with us. His contribution to the culture will not be forgotten. May his soul rest in peace,” said Asaph.
