Musician Makhadzi is overjoyed after being cleared to resume performances following a vehicle accident in December last year.
“Makhadzi Entertainment confirms that as of Friday, 13 February 2026, Makhadzi has been cleared by her doctors to return to work. After a check-up in Polokwane, the medical team was satisfied with her recovery,” the statement read.
Makhadzi expressed gratitude for the support she received.
“I am feeling good and would like to thank all the staff, nurses, and doctors from Netcare, Pholosho in Polokwane for taking care of me from day one. I also thank Minister of Sport Mr Gayton Mackenzie, Limpopo Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba and her executive, Polokwane Mayor Cllr John Mpe, my family, my team, fellow artistes, the AFRIMA’s, Munguambe Foundation, and all my followers for their prayers and support.”
During her recovery, Makhadzi has been busy in the studio. Her management confirmed a comeback show at Fountains, Pretoria, on 1 May 2026, adding that she is now available for bookings.
In a Facebook post, Makhadzi said fans can also look forward to a new EP, dropping 30 March. Early teasers suggest it will include songs praising the Lord for sparing her life. In the clips, Makhadzi looks fit and radiant, showing no signs of her accident.
Hitting the ground running, she has secured a headline slot at Zimbabwe’s Harris Music Festival in Bulawayo on 25 April.
