HIGHLANDERS chairman Kenneth Mhlophe walked out of Sunday’s Extraordinary General Meeting still in charge after a much-hyped Vote of No Confidence collapsed without even being discussed.
The EGM, held at the Bosso Clubhouse, drew 138 paid-up members who had braced for fireworks and possibly Mhlophe’s ouster. But the petition, fronted by Pilate Mahlangu, shockingly went cold, leaving members puzzled.
Instead of blood on the floor, the meeting turned into a routine business session where Mhlophe and treasurer Nkani Khoza tabled their reports.
“We are happy that everything went on well, it was a fruitful meeting that gave everyone a chance to air their views as we seek to move forward,” said Mhlophe after surviving what had been billed as his D-day.
For now, Bosso’s leadership storm has calmed, but fans are left wondering whether this was a genuine truce or just a temporary ceasefire in the black and white family.
