Highlanders chairman Kenneth Mhlophe survived a much-anticipated Vote of No Confidence after the motion collapsed without discussion at the club’s Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held at the Clubhouse on Sunday.
A total of 138 Bosso paid-up members attended the meeting, which had previously been anticipated to see Mhlophe being shown the exit.
To the contrary, the petition was never revisited or raised, and surprisingly, the petition originator, Pilate Mahlangu, went quiet about the issue.
The meeting was expected to define the club’s immediate future, with chairman Mhlophe and treasurer Nkani Khoza presenting crucial reports to the members.
“We are happy that everything went on well, it was a fruitful meeting that gave everyone a chance to air their views as we seek to move forward,” said Mhlophe.
