WATCH: National Covid-19 vaccination programme has started in Bulawayo

BULAWAYO on Monday morning started Covid-19 vaccination programme for frontline workers with Health Service Board chairman Dr Paulinus Sikosana being the first to be inoculated.

 

Dr Sikosana took the jab exactly at 11:15AM at the United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH) outpatient department.

He encouraged other frontline workers to do the same.

 

Government last week launched the Covid-19 vaccination programme after receiving a 200 000 sinopharm vaccine donation from China.

Under phase one of the Covid-19 vaccination programme, health workers, Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (Zimra), ports of entry personnel and village health workers.

About 6 600 people are expected to be vaccinated in Bulawayo.
