WATCH: New local film to premier at Stanley Hall tomorrow

A new locally produced film Freedom Comes Dancing is set to premier tomorrow (19 July) from 6 to 9pm at Stanley Hall in Makokoba.

Produced by Rawsoot Studios Films, the one-hour-long film was directed by seasoned musician and performer Hwabaraty, real name Japhet Mlauzi.

The storyline of the film is about a young lady born and bred in the dusty streets of Makokoba who has a dream and passion to break out of the hood and make it in life through dancing.

The production showcases the talents of dancers from local dance crews which are the Loxion Dance Crew and Jabula Arts.

The cast features Prince Zulu, also known as Snake from the popular soap “Amakorokoza,” who stars alongside his biological daughter Sasha Juliet Zulu.

Sasha plays the role of “Mbali” a teenage daughter from Makokoba Township who has been a dancer since her school days.

Other members of the cast are Nkanyiso Ncube, Sifiso Ndlovu, Bekezela Ncube, Lindelani Calisto Mafu, Kingsley Summer, Vivienne Tshabangu, Sikhonzile Sibanda, Londile Mlotshwa and Albert Z. Nyoni.

Cover charge is US$2.
