SEVERAL passengers aboard a Tshova Mubaiwa commuter omnibus were injured and rushed to hospital after the kombi lost control and rammed into the perimeter wall of a house in Cowdray Park.
Three ambulances and two fire engines from the Bulawayo Fire Brigade were dispatched to the accident scene.
The homeowner Mrs Sibonele Nkomo said the kombi rammed into a perimeter wall and partially destroyed a chicken fowl run.

When a Zimpapers news crew arrived at the accident scene, firefighters were removing debris from the fowl run to free some of the trapped birds.
The injured passengers, including the kombi driver, had already been ferried to hospital.

“I was sitting in the house when I heard a bang and the next thing I saw a kombi in my yard. Some of my chickens are still trapped in the damaged fowl run some have died.
“We will know the extent of the loss we suffered when the fire brigade has finished its work,” said Mrs Nkomo.
Chief fire officer Mr Mhlangano Moyo was yet to comment on the accident.
