Vocalists Ramsey K, Langelihle, Ronald Stone, and Lorraine delivered an unforgettable performance at the memorial service for the late Babongile Sikhonjwa, held at the Bulawayo Amphitheatre last Friday.
The quartet, led by Ramsey K as the opener, commanded the stage with a show-stopping set that captivated even those seated at the very back of the theatre. Their focus, energy, and harmony held the audience spellbound.

Their performance of a moving rendition of Kelly Khumalo’s Esphambanweni, was executed with precision and emotion. The showmanship and passion they displayed likely would have brought a smile to Sikhonjwa’s face, the man who tirelessly promoted music and provided platforms like his Red Café establishment for emerging bands to shine.
Despite a temporary power outage during the performance, the vocalists remained undeterred, seamlessly continuing their set and keeping the audience engaged.
The quartet’s performance was a fitting homage to a man who dedicated his life to uplifting artistes, showing once more how his influence continues to resonate through the city’s creative community.
