Award-winning gospel musician Vuyo Brown has paid tribute to the late Hip Hop artiste BobSe7en, describing him as a passionate young creative who was committed to the growth of Bulawayo’s music industry.
BobSe7en, who was regarded as one of the emerging talents on the local Hip Hop scene, died on June 30 at Mpilo Central Hospital following a short illness.
He was laid to rest on July 4.
Reflecting on the rapper’s passing, Vuyo Brown said BobSe7en had always been supportive of his work and was actively engaged with his social media content.
“I can now post this. I remember BobSe7en. He was very active on my content. I looooooooved this verse from back then. I sang that ‘na na na na na’ for days. I love vernacular rap, so I thought his was just brilliant.
“I was so sad to hear of his passing. It really got me. I hope his family is enveloped by the Holy Spirit as they mourn. I hear his mom is a deacon. Be comforted, Mama,” said Vuyo Brown.
