POWERHOUSE dancehall star Winky D, soulful musician Ex Q, fast-rising urban grooves artiste Jnr Spragga and budding songstress Atenda Chinx have been unveiled as some of the main acts for the 2026 edition of the Castle Lager Braai Day Festival.
The braai, music and mingling experience returns to Glamis Arena on October 17, bringing together music lovers for a celebration of braai culture, live performances and shared experiences at one of the country’s anticipated lifestyle events.
The Gafa is expected to take centre stage as Winky D leads the line-up, while the Mr Putin crew, fronted by Ex Q, will treat fans to a taste of urban grooves nostalgia.
Watcha Style fans will also be in for a treat as Jnr Spragga makes his debut live performance at the Castle Lager Braai Day Festival, at a time when his brand is gaining traction on the streets.
Fresh from a performance in Dubai, Atenda Chinx will have another opportunity to showcase her talent as one of Zimbabwe’s rising musical acts.
Organisers said the festival would bring friends together for a memorable celebration of music and braai culture, complemented by ice-cold Castle Lager.
“This year’s edition will showcase an exciting line-up of more than 10 local artistes and DJs. The programme will be headlined by some of Zimbabwe’s leading performers, including Winky D, Ex Q and Enzo Ishall, alongside emerging talents such as Jnr Spragga, Atenda Chinx and DJ Loz,” said one of the organisers in a statement.
In the build-up to the festival, consumers will have an opportunity to participate in nationwide trade activations at popular braai venues, where they will stand a chance to win event tickets, chilled Castle Lager and other prizes.
The organisers said one of the key highlights of this year’s festival would be the introduction of the “Castle Braai O’Clock” activation, an immersive group experience scheduled to run from 3pm to 4pm.
“The activation will include the ultimate braai master contest and other engaging competitions, with Castle Lager merchandise and additional prizes on offer.
“This blend of established and upcoming artistes reflects Castle Lager’s continued commitment to supporting and celebrating Zimbabwean music talent,” said the organisers.
