The Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre Hall 3 has been filled to capacity, with thousands of people gathered for the official launch of the Ekhaya Worship Festival, a new event already making waves in the gospel music and worship scene.

The spiritually charged festival has attracted an impressive turnout of worshippers and music lovers from across the country, signalling a resounding success for its debut edition.

The launch has not only drawn a massive crowd but also brought out some of Zimbabwe’s most beloved socialites, including Yayah Good Vibes, Madam Boss and Kevin The Wedding Planner, who were all spotted mingling with fans and enjoying the powerful performances on stage.

So far, the audience has been treated to stirring sets by top gospel acts such as Vocal Ex, Mai Mwamuka, Omega Khunou, *Canaan Nyathi, Once More Six, and Mkhululi Bhebhe, each leaving the crowd energised and spiritually uplifted.

At the heart of the event is renowned gospel artiste and event host Everton Mlalazi, who is also celebrating his belated birthday. Mlalazi, whose appearance is one of the most anticipated of the night, is expected to close the show with a worship-filled performance that will cap off the day’s festivities.

Organisers say the overwhelming response is a clear indication of the hunger for worship gatherings that not only unite believers but also promote gospel artistry on a grand stage.

The Ekhaya Worship Festival is set to become a staple in Zimbabwe’s gospel calendar, and if the scenes from today’s launch are anything to go by, it has already struck the right chord.
