WATCH: Zifa Southern Region referees go to class

PREPARATIONS for the 2026 Zifa Southern Division One League have gained momentum with this season’s referees attending classes in Bulawayo on Friday.

“The referees’ deserve respect from players, respect from clubs and respect from fans,” said Zifa Southern Region chairman Chrispen Mutungwazi emphasizing the importance of referees.

He said refereeing is a collective job with officiating key to the integrity of the game.

The chairman said refresher courses help enhance standards of the game.

Referees from Matabeleland North and host province are taking part in an event which ends on Saturday.
