We are honoured to save and serve

Dr Obert Moses Mpofu

A NATION is its people. Without people, there is no nation to speak of.

This mantra is at the core of ZANU PF and explains why it has been dubbed a true nationalist movement, for it serves the people.

The colossal party has been serving the people of this great nation for decades.

ZANU PF is honoured to save and serve its people.

Zimbabwe faces the worst drought in recent history

We did it during the liberation war and we have most certainly done it through the protracted and ongoing “war” against our detractors.

Countless times, the people’s party has come in to save and serve its people.

We do take pride in all the efforts we have been channelling towards the people’s agenda.

In President Mnangagwa, we have a listening leader who truly comes from the people and understands what they need to improve their lives.

So often, President Mnangagwa has indicated that “the voice of the people is the voice of God”.

God’s people have often required a shepherd to serve and protect them.

Indeed, we are honoured to serve our people. Due to the El Niño-induced drought, this year we will be called upon once more to come to the rescue, as we have done countless times before.

Our country faces the worst drought in its history.

Those comradely instincts that prompted us to fight for our liberation from imperialists have already kicked in and the ZANU PF-led Government, under President Mnangagwa, is making frantic efforts to save our people from this unfortunate weather event.

It has often been said that all true Zimbabweans are all farmers of note, and with each farming season, we always look to the skies with anticipation.

And this year, we all waited but the rain did not come.

The unforgiving sun scorched our beloved land with a ferocity we have not seen in recent times. Our rivers ran dry and the seed we had planted failed to germinate.

As a result of this unfortunate occurrence, our Government has taken measures to ensure that we feed 7,7 million of our people in both rural and urban areas.

As difficult as it seems, we will save and serve our people.

There is much that we can and are still doing to serve the people.

We are still in a relentless pursuit of economic emancipation.

We are achieving this using mostly our own resources, as well as support from those who have the same vision as us and those who do not harbour any ill will towards our beloved Zimbabwe. It is indeed an honour to serve the beautiful people of this land.

They are relentless in their pursuit of self-determination.

If our people were any different, I am certain our country would have collapsed long ago.

The people of this country have been withstanding the brunt of cruel attacks and underhand shenanigans perpetuated by our detractors in a bid to make us suffer, yet here we stand.

I, for one, am eternally grateful for the honour to serve the people of this beloved land.

As Secretary-General of ZANU PF, it has been quite an experience and privilege to be thrown right at the helm of the ruling party’s administration.

Kudos to President Mnangagwa’s intentional exercise that has reformed and professionalised the party.

We can confidently state that through the efforts of the party leadership in the Second Republic, the people’s agenda has been restored. The people now dare to believe once more.  There can be no doubt that the good times are coming and will soon be upon us.

As a matter of fact, the good times are already with us.  What we are experiencing now is just but a taste. Better is yet to come.

The tree planted at the dawn of the Second Republic is now bearing some sweet fruit for us to enjoy.

What a time to be alive!

What a time to be Zimbabwean!

As we forge ahead with building our nation, let us focus on ourselves and ignore the outside noise.

There is rampant disinformation and misinformation, but our people are much wiser.

They will not pay attention to the sideshows. The people truly believe in ZANU PF and are fully aware that it is a party that exists to serve them.
