Despite watching his team lose 1-0 to South Africa in last Sundayas international friendly match in Johannesburg, Mighty Warriors coach Shadreck Mlauzi feels they are on the right path ahead of Augustas Rio Olympic Games.

The South Africa friendly was their first preparatory match ahead of the quadrennial global sports fiesta and Mlauzi says they are moving on the right direction in gearing up for the Games.
a?I have always said that we need to play highly competitive teams before the Olympics begin and good for us we engaged South Africa. It was a very good game for us and a good platform to assess players,a? Mlauzi said.
a?I am happy with our progress and I can safely say that we are moving in the right direction. By fielding 17 players we gave most players a chance for some game time. We might have lost buy the girls gave a good account of themselves. There is still room for improvement and we just want to continue in this path. That way we will do well in Brazil.a?
The Mighty Warriors are scheduled to play a warm-up match against New Zealand before the start of the Rio Games and are still looking for more sparring opponents.
