Talking Arts: Artists align yourself with the Twitter partyaï¿½ï¿½.

Some may be asking what is a Twitter party? Ah well , we have seen all white parties, Johnny Walker parties , All Star Parties and all and many other names for every second week at various night clubs.

With the advent of social media, it was bound to happen sooner or later. I thought Facebook would be the first.

For the benefit of many, Twitter is an online social networking tool in which users post 140 character updates of what is going on in their lives along with links to things they think are interesting, funny, or useful to their followers (aï¿½?followingaï¿½? being essentially what aï¿½?friendingaï¿½? is on other sites). So there are two Twitter loudmouths (in a good way), with thousands of followers hosting the firstAï¿½ Twitter party of Bulawayo on Saturday, 21 May 2016.

They are the founders of Hunnar Management Agency & Bead Crazy. They are Gilmore Moyo and Patience Phiri.

The venue will be the National Gallery of Bulawayo. The event is scheduled for a 1 pm start finishing at 5pm and itaï¿½ï¿½s in collaboration with Hella Hella Entertainment Dj Pasee.

With a high level of engagement on the digital space the organisers decided to take advantage with a Party ZW movement concept, with their main social media platform being twitter.

The entire idea is based on aï¿½?Bringing the Digital World to Live Events.aï¿½? Social Media has become one of the most influential platforms to link people, brands and initiatives. With this in mind, The Twitter Party ZW came about as a way of bringing these social media active beings to meet on live events and exchange dialogue.

The initiative also offers a platform for entrepreneurs that we know from online platforms to push or launch their projects at a gathering where many twitter active users are, helping to flood the project or product to the market through an instant mass mention.
